The company introduced rapid development for web applications by using Ruby on Rails, an open source framework for the Ruby programming language. It is often referred to as Rails or RoR and enables rapid development, promotes Agile development methodology, and allows developers to write less code for the same functionalities than in many other languages and frameworks.

EXECOM development teams report that with Ruby on Rails applications are much simpler to develop, the process is more productive and effective, the implementation makes future modifications easier and finally, it is cost-effective without compromising quality of products and development process overall.

During this year’s Gitex event in Dubai, a software development company Prozone from Novi Sad has signed a long-term outsourcing agreement with eSolutions Maximo – Northern Gulf from Kuwait.
A business agreement has also been signed to the value of €90,000, according to which Prozone will provide engineering consulting services related to the development and support services in the project regarding implementation and customization of the IBM Maximo software system for a local client of eSolutions company in Kuwait.

At the latest international conference on Software Testing and Software Quality Management SEETEST 2009 (www.seetest.org), EXECOM won the ‘Best Paper Certificate’ award. Company’s Test Manager Mr. Predrag Skokovic received the prize for his paper on requirements based testing titled ‘Getting it right the first time’.

“I’m very happy and satisfied that my paper was chosen the best among such tough competition. The prize came just at the right moment: EXECOM’s testing department was established a year and a half ago, we have formed a unit of qualified testers and we work as a team. This is the proof that we are steering in the right direction” – says Predrag.

As an experienced software engineering company and a provider of IT services EXECOM has understood the need for committed software testing. The company has made two major steps in process improvement: transition from ad-hoc testing, done by programmers, to planned and defined process delivered by software testers and introducing testing tools that doubled the effectiveness of the process. Here are three Ts of EXECOM’s software testing policy:

Testing department which was formed at the beginning of 2007, engaging qualified software testers and experienced Test Manager. Testers are assigned to development teams per project, based on their skills and experience.

Test Methodologies significant for clearly defined process. Among others, EXECOM highlights Risk Based Testing, Requirements Based Testing and TMap.

Test Link – web based requirements and test management tool which enables simple creation of Test cases and their organization into Test plans. It can be easily linked with various project management applications in order to track project tasks.

Thanks to dedicated work and achievements of EXECOM team, the company was invited to present at following conferences all around Europe.
